Authorization

Institute for Testing and Certification, Authorized body No. 224, has been authorized by the Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing for the conformity assessment of the following products

	Small buildings intended for playing and increasing of the children's skills

Testing of

	Physico-mechanical properties, flammability, health hazards of the materials used, including surface coating
	Absorbing impact of the natural and artificial playground surfaces
	Resistance against weather ageing and other parameters

  Standards employed:

	EN 1176 Playground equipment
	EN 1177 Impact absorbing playground surfacing: Safety requirements and test methods
	ENV 1991-2-3, ENV 1991-2-2 a ENV 1991-2-4 - Snow loads, Actions on structures exposed to fire, Wind actions

Test results are summarized in the test protocol issued by the Accredited testing laboratory

Type certification

Manufacturer or importer is obliged to assure the assessment for the playground equipment by the authorized body. As a result of the safety requirements testing, the authorized body can issue the "type certificate". Based on this certificate, manufacturer or importer can issue the "declaration of conformity" and the products corresponding to the certified type can be put on the market (sold or installed on the playgrounds)
