Environmental Management System
General TC is accredited according to guide 66 of ISO/IEC criteria as a Certification Body No. 3046 [CB No. 3046] for certification of environmental management system according to CSN EN ISO 14001:2004.
ISO 14001 related standards
ISO 14000 is the generic name given to the family of standards around which an EMS can be implemented. The ISO Standard development committee TC 207 started to develop the ISO 14000 series including ISO 14001 in 1994 and this was published in September 1996.
The standard was revised in 2004 to become ISO 14001:2004.
There are other environmental standards and guidelines that have been developed by the TC 207 ISO committee, the most relevant to EMS are:
- ISO 14004 - Environmental Management Systems - General Guidelines on Principles Systems and Supporting Techniques
- ISO 19011 - Guidelines for quality and/or environmental management systems auditing

Process of Certification
It consists of two parts:
I.Audit of first level
First level audit consists of following:

During the 3-year certificate validity an supervisory audit is elaborated once a year . It's purpose is to make sure that the system of environmental management is maintained and constantly developed. Along with the results of supervisory audit a certification body issues a resolution on certificate validity verification or certificate suspending or withdrawal in case of serious divergence from determined norms.
